This guide is for those who want your Copilot workspace to automate actions for clients with multiple companies. If you created automations before August 7, 2025, you can update your pre-existing zaps with the following changes to make sure multi-company clients works as expected.

If you don’t update your old zaps before adding multiple companies to clients, your zaps may return errors.

How To Use This Guide

  1. Look through your current Copilot zaps that use any of action/events listed below.
  2. Update the relevant zaps by clicking the zap and Setup > Configure.
  3. Check the behavior of certain events and actions to see that they behave as intended with new changes.

App Connections

What’s changing: Adds Company ID to the Create App Connection action

Action name New behavior
Create app connection Provide a value for Company ID in the Create App Connection action

Clients

Action name New behavior
Update Client Updating company will replace any existing companies. Company IDs will assign the provided companies to the client and remove any others.
Find a Client Company ID field will match ANY companies that the client is a part of.

Invoices, Subscriptions and Contracts

What’s Changing: Recipient ID is now broken down into Client ID and Company ID
